The holiday season can be so hectic and packed with a get-it-done-now list! So here’s a thought: take a deep breath and come to the countryside. Step back from the bustle and enjoy some real peace on earth. No fighting for parking spots, no elbowing in the malls… just a lot of beautiful lights and hot apple cider.
- Be Enchanted By Sparkling Lights

- See a Classic Christmas Show
Sing along to Irving Berlin’s holiday favourite, White Christmas, presented by the Victorian Operetta Society The show takes place in Cobourg’s 19th century Victoria Hall at the centre of town. November 17 to 20.
- Shop for Something Different (and Actually Have Fun Doing It)
Maybe it’s the country air or all the friendly hellos. Whatever the secret, the quaint charm of Cobourg will put you in the gift-giving spirit. Browse the boutique shops in the heritage core for some unique finds, vintage collectibles, and works by local artists. Stop for tea and sweets or lunch, then shop some more!
